Introduce your students to the vibrant flavors and culture of New York’s Little Italy in the Bronx. Our school tours, available Wednesdays through Fridays, combine rich history with delicious tastings led by engaging local guides.

We offer two tour options (minimum of 15 participants):

• Walking Tour with Tastings – $45 per student
  Students will explore Arthur Avenue while enjoying tastings of neighborhood favorites: fresh cannoli, artisan bread, and hand-stretched mozzarella.

• Tour with Tastings PLUS Sit-Down Lunch at Mario’s – $75 per person
  After experiencing the highlights of Arthur Avenue, your group will gather at the historic Mario’s Restaurant for a classic Italian meal featuring fried calamari, pizza, ravioli, and meatballs.

Group Logistics

• One complimentary spot is provided for a teacher or chaperone per 15 students.

• Because the shops are small in size, large groups will be divided into smaller ones, each with its own guide. Groups follow the same route in a different order so that everyone enjoys the same full experience.

• Drop-off and meeting point is at 2344 Arthur Avenue, in front of the Arthur Avenue Retail Market.

• While there is no designated bus parking, large buses may wait on Crescent Avenue or in front of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Smaller vans can park in the municipal lot directly across the street from the Retail Market.

Additional Details

• Tours can be conducted in Italian for language students, as several of our guides are native Italian speakers.

• Dietary notes: A gluten-free menu is not available. All bakeries and food shops carry a risk of cross-contamination with tree nuts. While we do our best to accommodate dietary needs, students with severe allergies should be advised of these risks ahead of time.
