Step into New York's last enclave of family-run Italian food shops, where century-old bakeries, butchers, and delis still thrive. You'll taste, hear the stories, and pick up insider tips from a host who knows this neighborhood from the inside out.

Details:

We offer private tours by appointment on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
We don't offer evening tours as most shops open and close early. Only restaurants are open in the evening.
The minimum for a group tour is 4 people. We accept large groups but may divide them among several guides. Each group will do the same tour in a different order, and then all will reunite at the same time for lunch.

What's included:

All on-the-go tastings throughout the neighborhood, including pastry, bread, cheese, and salumi
Sit-down lunch at Mario's, including fried calamari, meatballs, ravioli from Borgatti, and pizza
20% gratuity for restaurant staff
Guide tip not included

Cancellation Policy

A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. If your final group size is not yet confirmed, the deposit will be calculated based on a minimum of 4 guests.

The remaining balance is due 7 days before the tour date and is non-refundable thereafter. We do not offer refunds for no-shows or last-minute cancellations.

Tours run rain or shine. In the event of a weather emergency — such as a storm where New York City advises against travel — we will transfer your tour to another date at no penalty.

Once your reservation is finalized, we will send you an invoice payable by credit card.

In front of the Arthur Avenue Retail Market, 2344 Arthur Avenue. Stand at the Arthur Avenue entrance, not the Hughes Avenue loading dock.
We cannot accommodate gluten-free or vegan diets. Please note any other allergies on the request form.
